This project reconfigures the existing layout to provide more spacious areas using an open-plan distribution across the property from the front to the rear façade. This also creates greater connectivity with the rear garden, providing better views of it from every angle of the house. The brief also focuses on adding storage space and integrating a disused utility room located at the back of the property. By upgrading the building fabric and its thermal performance, thermal comfort is being improved, which in turn, helps reduce the current energy consumption.
